Fallen Hollywood star Kevin Spacey once declared his love for girlfriend Dianne Dreyer from the stage as he accepted the Oscar for Best Actor in 2000.

The pair, who had met on the set of Glengarry Glen Ross in 1992, were said to have had an eight-year relationship and were often photographed together at events.

During that time he gave interviews denying he was gay and described her in another as his girlfriend in footage which has now been aired again in a Channel 4 documentary making new allegations about his behaviour. 

The two-part investigation involves 10 men making new accusations of sexual impropriety against the double Academy Award-winning actor.

Spacey, 64, has denounced the claims as 'ridiculous' and 'completely offensive'.

Ten men have made new accusations of sexual impropriety against the double Academy Award-winning actor in the two-part Channel 4 documentary Spacey Unmasked

The American Beauty and House of Cards actor, 64, was last year found not guilty of nine sexual offences after accusations against him by four men who were in their 20s and 30s between 2004 and 2013. 

Spacey, who sobbed at the dock as his verdict was delivered, went on to add that he 'never told someone that if they give me sexual favours, then I will help them out with their career, ever'.

Dreyer, 67, a Hollywood script supervisor, film producer and director, was among those providing character statements in support of him at the trial.

She said in her testimony read out to Southwark Crown Court last July: 'I travelled with Kevin all over the world and marvelled at his patience and politeness'.

Dreyer, whose script supervisor credits include The English Patient, The Talented Mr Ripley and The Bourne Legacy, has also appeared as an actress in You've Got Mail.

She was namechecked by Spacey when interviewed on CBS show 60 Minutes in 2000, as shown in last night's Channel 4 episode.

When asked whether he had a girlfriend at the time, Spacey is seen answering: 'I've been in a relationship for a while. Her name is Dianne.'

He also paid tribute to her when receiving the Best Actor Oscar for American Beauty at that year's ceremony, five years after his Best Supporting Actor prize for his performance in The Usual Suspects. 

Spacey, who was sitting beside Dreyer in the audience, took to the stage where he said: 'Dianne, thank you for teaching me about caring about the right things. And I love you.'

A Channel 4 documentary exposing allegations against Kevin Spacey WILL air despite fightback from the star

Rumours about Spacey's sexuality had already been circulating in the showbiz world, as covered in the Channel 4 documentary.

It highlights how the star was reportedly furious when Esquire magazine ran a feature about him in 1997 with the cover headline: 'Kevin Spacey has a secret.'

The actor gave an interview to Playboy magazine in 1999 denying he was gay.

He was also questioned about the same issue by the Sunday Times, telling the paper: 'The answer to that is no. But why should it matter?'

Other women he was said to have relationships with include fellow Oscar winner Helen Hunt, who he co-starred alongside in Pay It Forward (2000), and Jennifer Jason Leigh after they appeared together in the off-Broadway play Hurlyburly.

The new accusations include an actor saying Spacey pleasured himself while watching the bloody Normandy landing scene in Saving Private Ryan.

An aspiring actor - referred to only by his first name Scott - claimed the unnerving incident happen in 1998 at a cinema.

Spacey was acquitted of the nine sexual offences in relation to four men at Southwark Crown Court last year.

The dismissal came after he won a US civil lawsuit in 2022 after being accused of an unwanted sexual advance towards American actor Anthony Rapp when he was just 14 in 1986.

Spacey came out as gay in a statement posted on Twitter in October 2017 after Rapp had made the allegation.

He wrote at the time: 'I know that there are stories out there about me and that some have been fueled by the fact that I have been so protective of my privacy.

'As those closest to me know, in my life I have had relationships with both men and women.

'I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life, and I choose now to live as a gay man.'

Spacey described himself as 'beyond horrified' at Rapp's allegations about him and insisting that he did not remember the encounter.

He has also now taken to X, formerly Twitter, to launch a fightback against the new allegations being made as part of the Channel 4 documentary - and shared a link to a 95-minute interview with former GB News presenter Dan Wootton.

Spacey posted that he had been 'provided with insufficient time and detail to respond to the testimonies in the film'.

Spacey won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1996 for his role as Roger 'Verbal' Kint in The Usual Suspects.

He added: 'I have consistently denied - and now successfully defended - numerous allegations made both in the US and the UK, both criminal and civil, and each time have been able to source evidence undermining the allegations and have been believed by a jury of my peers.

'I will not sit back and be attacked by a dying network's one-sided "documentary" about me in their desperate attempt for ratings.

'Each time I have been given the time and a proper forum to defend myself, the allegations have failed under scrutiny and I have been exonerated.'

When contacted by MailOnline today, the actor said: 'We have offered my Right Of Reply interview to all UK media outlets for free, some of whom have taken us up on that.

'Unfortunately, Channel 4, who have decided that their documentary about me is in the public’s interest, have decided my rebuttal is not.'

Fresh allegations made in Channel 4 documentary Spacey Unmasked 

A slew of allegations were made against the fallen Hollywood star tonight.

The documentary alleges that Spacey:

• Groped a 21-year-old man in highly intimate and invasive way before whispering: ¿Don¿t worry about it¿;

• Pleasured himself in front of an aspiring actor, who was a former US Marine, while watching the traumatic opening sequence of Saving Private Ryan; 

• Pushed his groin into the face of an employee at the Old Vic theatre in London during a performance of the pantomime Cinderella; 

• Exposed himself to an intern in the bathroom of a bar and put his hand on the penis of a fellow actor on the set of hit TV series House Of Cards. 

Spacey has denied the new allegations slamming them as 'ridiculous' and 'completely offensive'.
